Eternal Life is Found in Jesus Christ
Here’s how you can know 100% sure that you will go to Heaven when you die.
Our Sin Separates Us from God.
The Bible tells us that we are all sinners.
Sin is anything that we do, say, or think that disobeys God’s Word. Because God is holy and perfect in every way, our sin separates us from God. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” The Bible also says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.“ Wages are something that we earn. God says that because we have all sinned, we deserve to be separated from God forever in Hell.
Religion and Good Works Cannot Give Eternal Life.
Because sin separates us from God, people try many ways to earn the right to be in Heaven. They try religious rituals, good works, and all sorts of inferior ways to get to God. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.“ The Bible clearly teaches in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.“ No amount of religion or good works can save us. If we could save ourselves through our good works, why did Jesus give His life for us on the cross?
Jesus Christ is the Only Way to Heaven.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me“ (John 14:6). Even though we were lost and separated from God, He loved us, and because God is love, He sent His Son to die on the Cross and rose from the dead three days later. Jesus is not one of many ways to Heaven, He is the only way. John 3:16 explains “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“ Jesus Christ died for us. He became the payment for our sin. Thankfully, we do not have to pay the penalty for our sin. He became our substitute on the cross. In Romans 5:8, the Bible says, “But God commendeth (proved or demonstrated) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
You Must Believe on Jesus Christ to Receive Eternal Life.
In order to have a relationship with God and an eternal home in Heaven, we must repent of our sin, and place our complete trust in Jesus Christ. In Romans 10:13 the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This is a promise directly from God that you can trust. If you will pray to Him, confessing that you are a sinner, asking Him to forgive your sins, He promises to save you and give you the free gift of eternal life. We urge you to make this most important decision today by praying to God from your heart:
Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I know that my sin separates me from You. I know that I deserve to be punished forever in Hell. I thank You for loving me and dying on the cross in my place. I confess my sin to You, and I humbly ask You to save me and give an eternal home in Heaven with You. I know that I cannot save myself. Right now, I turn to you alone to be my Savior. I ask you to forgive me of my sin, and I trust you to give me eternal life. - In Jesus name, Amen
